We have too often felt overwhelmed by ocean pollution as we walk our beaches and see countless pieces of plastic washed up on our shores. What if EVERY person who used these spaces left with a handful of trash? Imagine the collective cleanup power? While the Ocean Cleanup is doing incredible conservation work out at sea, what can those of use back on land do RIGHT NOW?
Beach Tax Collective is a cleanup effort based on that very question. If everyone who visited a beach or waterway picked up one handful of trash per visit, they would pay their "tax" to these spaces that otherwise ask nothing of us.Â
