Welcome to my page!  

Hi there, I’m Sophia and I’m with a program through 4-H called O.W.L.S. I’m raising money for my conservation project to donate $500 to The Ocean Cleanup. Plastic pollution in the world's oceans is one of the biggest environmental issues, impacting nearly 900 marine species. The Ocean Cleanup helps remove the plastic in our oceans. They've built durable machines that they put in the ocean to filter out trash, from there they take the plastics and turn them into new things such as sunglasses. 

 

Why donate?

This is something that affects everyone and everyone should care about. The ocean is 71% of the earth's surface and when you go to the beach, would you like to see trash all over? … ick..

My goal is $500, please donate as much or as little as you want.
