I set up this fundraiser because I find it important to support organizations like The Ocean Cleanup, to get a cleaner and healthier ocean for all! The Ocean Cleanup’s mission is to remove 90% of floating ocean plastic by 2040.
Back in 2022, in the midst of the pandemic, I decided that it would be a good chance to look at issues around the world that we have been facing for quite a while. The Ocean clean up was one of the most extremely gratifying projects I had seen among many others. Sure, I'm not on the boat with them, cleaning up the great oceans of our planet. However, giving a lending hand to Sydney's water ways and observing the impact of plastic pollution was the best I could do with the resources i had.
This time, Im taking it far and wide along Australia's coast line to research the levels of damage at different locations to see how the worlds ocean currents and countries waste pollution is affecting the coastal and inland ecosystems. At each location I will spend time with a trash bag and helping to clear any waste off our beautiful beaches!
