I am raising funds to clean the rivers and oceans
I am deeply passionate about cleaning India's water bodies and oceans, as I am greatly concerned about the devastating impact of plastic waste choking our rivers and seas. To tackle this pressing issue, I have developed a device called "Ecodrifter"—a floating waste-collecting device.
I am dedicated to continuously improving this project and collaborating with organizations contributing to this cause. To amplify these efforts, I have set up this fundraiser to support impactful initiatives like The Ocean Cleanup, whose mission is to remove 90% of floating ocean plastic by 2040.
Would you kindly consider making a donation to support my fundraiser? Every contribution helps bring us closer to cleaner, healthier oceans. Additionally, please share my campaign with your family and friends. The more people who are aware, the greater the impact we can achieve together.
Thank you so much for your generosity—it truly means the world to me!

My Updates
My humble contribution in tackling plastic pollution
Friday 3rd JanFundraising for Ocean Clean up
This post is a bit different from my usual updates. It’s not about my tech experiments or the version 2.0 of my Ecodrifter project—although I’m actively working on that too. I just haven’t had the chance to write about it yet but plan to do so soon.
Growing up, my parents’ deep care for the environment has had a profound influence on me. Our lifestyle reflects this commitment—we carry our own bags, straws, spoons, and glasses, even on flights. My mom ensures that every drop counts by recycling RO water, despite having an STP in our society. This mindset was a big motivation behind my work on Ecodrifter.
While researching for Ecodrifter, I discovered incredible organizations like The Ocean Cleanup, a nonprofit based in the Netherlands that develops innovative technology to tackle plastic pollution in water bodies. Their mission and impact deeply inspire me, and I hope to contribute to solving similar challenges in my own way
They have an amazing program called "Become a Citizen Scientist". They’ve developed a fantastic app with the same name, which helps map plastic waste flowing through nearby rivers. As a Citizen Scientist, you can track and upload data about floating plastic waste using the app.
This week, I used the app to conduct surveys of plastic waste in nearby rivers. The app is incredibly easy to use—just download it here from the App Store, head to a bridge over a nearby river, follow the app’s instructions, and track floating waste within a set time frame.
I conducted three surveys today: two on the Yamuna River (at the DND Flyover and Akshardham Bridge) and one on the Hindon River. You can even see my surveys on the Citizen Science Map!
What I love about The Ocean Cleanup is their focus on finding technical solutions to the massive issue of plastic pollution. While many NGOs around the world work tirelessly to clean up rivers and oceans, much of it is labor-intensive. This organization’s innovative approach inspires me, and I’ve been looking for ways to get more involved.
As a small step toward making a bigger impact, I’ve started a fundraiser on their website. If you’d like to support this important cause, please check out my fundraiser and consider making a donation. Together, we can help make a difference!
