I started this fundraiser to help clean up plastic in the ocean; The Ocean Cleanup’s mission is to remove 90% of floating oceans plastic by 2040. 

I will be exercising and raising funds at the same time. Please support me and The Ocean Cleanup by making any donation you can. The more people who know about this, the greater the impact. I would love it if you shared my fundraiser with friends and family.

Introducing Roman my very high energy Pitbull-Boerbel mix pup DOB January 2026. He is my companion to a lot of the distance walks/sprints I do for this fundraiser, he constantly demands his river walks and loves to play in the water, together we will bring awareness to the river pollution and make a big impact towards a solution.

Re-Launch of my fundraising campaign

Hi friends it has been a year since I heard about The ocean cleanup I started out really strong but as the months progressed my activity slowed and I stopped talking about the cause as much, even though it is something I think about daily. Protecting our rivers and keeping pollution off our wildlife is very important to me and I will be a part of the solution to this issue. This has been an eventful year for me and my career in the water sector I’ve gained lots of experience and I’m also much more active physically to tackle the distance challenges I have in mind. I will soon update this page more regularly and bring more awareness stay tuned.

Progress for August 2025

Thursday 4th Sep
Hello friends and family, it has been a little over a month since starting this awareness campaign and i am overjoyed with the amount of support from my sponsors.
For the month of August I raised a total of $190 and ran a total of 60miles and recruited 1 additional team member to help me with the run challenge.
the challenge was 100 miles in month of August which I fell short of by 40 miles on my own, but with recruitment of Kevin he generously lent me some of his miles to reach 100mi though not recorded on the site.
In any case i will continue the challenge in September and raise more awareness to reach my goals.

Help me start my journey to protect my country's river systems.

Welcome to my fundraising page, I came across this organization while doing research on the river systems in my country of Guatemala. I work in the wastewater treatment industry and one lifelong goal of mine is to solve the pollution crisis in rivers caused primarily by lack of WW treatment (only 25% of WW generated undergoes treatment). I am grateful for the work The Ocean Cleanup has done in Guatemala as well as many other countries thus far. For this reason I will be doing my part to join in the movement and raise awareness about this awesome project that The Ocean Cleanup has started..
