For my Bat Mitzvah project, I chose to focus on cleaning up beaches because I believe we all have a responsibility to protect our planet, especially the places that bring us joy and peace. The beach has always been a special place for me and my family, and seeing how pollution and litter can harm both the environment and the animals that live there inspired me to take action. By organizing a beach cleanup and encouraging others to be mindful of their impact, I hope to make a difference, not just for the beaches we love, but for the Earth as a whole. This project is my way of giving back and doing my part to create a cleaner, healthier world.
Plastic pollution impacts everyone, including over 900 species of marine animals, of which 100 are already endangered. Â
I will be cleaning up trash myself along with some friends, and anyone else who'd like to join me and raising funds at the same time.
