We are raising funds to clean the oceans

Welcome to the Oakwood School World Savers Club page!  

We set up this fundraiser to help make the ocean cleaner and healthier for everyone. The Ocean Cleanup aims to remove 90% of floating ocean plastic by 2040.

Packaging Orders

We have finished selling crayons and are excited to begin sorting, filling, and packaging them. We have 15 orders to fill, including one with 20 individually packaged star crayons for students who have not already purchased. We are so happy that every first-grader can take crayons home. 

Crayon Order Update

It took a few weeks, but we selected several silicon molds to melt them into new shapes, including spears and stars. We have enough crayons to sell to the first-grade students in our elementary school. We created a fundraiser flyer with a crayon order form on the back. We are selling one large star crayon for $2, three spear crayons for $3, and a complete set (one star and four spears) for $5. Small groups of club members went to each First Grade classroom to share information about our fundraiser. The forms went home in their Friday folders. Then, we gave the students two weeks to make an order and turn in their cash. The funds from each order will all be donated to this page. Our goal is $200. 

Recycled Crayon Fundraiser

Friday 31st Jan
Earlier in the school year, we, the World Savers Club members, collected broken crayons from our entire elementary school. We collected for several weeks. Then, we peeled the paper from each crayon and sorted them by color tones (warm, cool, and neutral) in preparation for melting them into new crayons.
