WE ARE ON A MISSION TO CLEAN THE OCEANS — STARTING HERE IN EL PAREDÓN, GUATEMALA!
We’ve launched this fundraiser to help remove plastic and trash from the beaches and ocean in El Paredón, Guatemala, a beautiful coastal community that deserves protection.
Plastic pollution affects us all — and threatens more than 900 marine species, including over 100 already endangered. Guatemala’s Río Motagua alone is estimated to contribute 2% of all plastic entering the world’s oceans, with roughly 15,000 tons of waste flowing into the sea every year.
This global problem is washing up right here on our shore.
We are taking action — organizing local clean-ups, empowering the community, and removing plastic directly from the coastline.
